INFOS:

DEVILTRAIN – An explosive blend of passion, energy, and unbridled rock. Since 2015, the quartet from Bamberg has been bringing plenty of power and a touch of rebellion to the stage with their unique sound. Musically, Simmi (vocals/guitar), Heiko (lead guitar), Basti (bass), and Simon (drums) channel a similar vein as the pioneers of the Scandinavian rock wave in the 90s/00s, such as The Hellacopters and Gluecifer. However, influences from garage, southern, and blues rock are also evident. Above all, the expressive voice of frontwoman and guitarist Simmi reigns supreme, complemented by energetic lead guitar parts, thundering basslines, and driving drums, all contributing to DEVILTRAIN’s distinctive style.

The release of their self-titled debut album in 2016 garnered DEVILTRAIN widespread attention. The album received high praise from the press (including OX Fanzine) and garnered consistently positive reviews. Subsequently, they shared numerous club and festival stages with scene giants such as KADAVAR, ORANGE GOBLIN, ROYAL REPUBLIC, THE VINTAGE CARAVAN, and THE SUPERSUCKERS. The quartet quickly earned an excellent reputation as a live band.

In 2019, their second full-length album, “TROUBLED TIMES,” was released to both fan and critical acclaim, receiving many positive reviews, including praise from Classic Rock Magazine and Ox Fanzine, which also published an interview with the band in issue 146. The subsequent concerts took the quartet across Germany and to legendary clubs like Molotow on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn. At the Kontakt Festival in Bamberg, DEVILTRAIN played to nearly 1000 enthusiastic attendees.

In 2023, DEVILTRAIN paid homage to the Norwegian rock band Turbonegro with their interpretation of the song “Rendevouz With Anus.” The song was included in the tribute album “Turbonegro Must Be Destroyed,” featuring a total of 14 cover songs by artists such as THE DOGS (NOR), THE DWARVES (USA), CHRISTMAS (GER), and SCUMBAG MILLIONAIRE (SWE), released on May 26, 2023. The album was limited to 1000 vinyl records.

In autumn 2023, recording began for their third studio album. The first single release, “BLAME ME,” accompanied by a high-quality music video, made a significant impact upon its release in March 2024, leaving audiences eager for more. The new album, “SONIC FEVER,” mixed by Michel Wern (PASCOW, DONOTS), is set to be released on May 17, 2024, via Cargo Records/My Redemption Records on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms.
